- The purpose of this training is to provide professionals with a comprehensive understanding of trauma and the impact of child and adolescent trauma/complex trauma on multiple domains (Neurobiology, Physiology, Attachment, Affect Regulation, Behavioral Control, Cognition, Memory, Dissociation and Self Concept.) Participants will learn and/or review DSM 5 Trauma and Stressor Related Disorders.
- Participants will gain the knowledge, skills, and values needed to provide comprehensive trauma assessments and build competency in completing the trauma assessment component of the Comprehensive Child and Family Assessments (CCFA). Participants will be trained to use UCLA PTSD RI, CATS (Child and Adolescent Trauma Screening), Life Events Checklist (LEC) and PTSD Checklist (PC-L) assessment tools, complete a written report of assessment, and make recommendations.
